New Year’s Eve

Fellowship Baptist Church, 157 Rountree Road, Riverdale, will host the Singing Echoes from Cleveland, Tenn., in concert, Dec. 31, at 7 p.m. This concert continues a 25-year tradition of the group coming to the church. The Clayton County Ministers’ Conference, along with the Clayton County Sheriff Kem Kimbrough, is preparing for the 15th Annual Ministers’ Breakfast at the sheriff’s office at 9157 Tara Blvd., Jonesboro. The breakfast is free and open to all ministers and minister association members in Clayton County. The event is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 5, at the sheriff’s office cafeteria, from 8:30 a.m., to 10 a.m. This is an opportunity for clergy to come together, fellowship and pray for our community in the upcoming year. Dixon Grove Baptist Church, 7690 Fielder Road, Jonesboro, will sponsor a food ministry day Saturday, Jan. 21, from 11 a.m., to 1 p.m. One box per family will be distributed. Those picking up boxes must show photo identification.
