Samantha is a 2 year old domestic shorthair. She is very pretty and has unique calico and tabby markings. She has been spayed and fully vaccinated. Samantha got caught in a rescuer's cat trap, a trap meant to catch feral cats so that they could be vaccinated, sterilized, and then relocated to a new area. When the rescuer realized that Samantha was not feral (wild), she didn't want to release her back outside. No owner could be located, so Samantha came to CCHS to find a new home. She was extremely frightened and shy when she first came into CCHS, but she has decided that humans are not so bad after all, and she now comes to the front of her cage for attention. She is still frightened of the other cats, so she chooses to stay in her cage all of the time. CCHS has been on a mission to get all caged cats adopted quickly, so we would like for someone to take Samantha home, where she can move around, climb and run, and sit in someone's lap. Anyone interested in adopting Samantha should call Robin at 770/478-7531.
