Sanvidge, Mildred "Millie" Eppinger Age: 90

Mildred Millie Eppinger Sanvidge, age 90, of Jackson, died Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 at the Coliseum Medical Center in Macon. She was born in Pike County, April 28, 1920, daughter of the late Clarence Clairmont Bud Eppinger and Minnie Griffin Eppinger. She was the wife of the late Clifford Lewis Sandy Sanvidge who died in 1996. Millie was employed as secretary to the pastor of First Baptist Church in Jackson for 17 years, where she was also a member. She was involved in many activities of the church including Sunday school teacher for 17 years and the WMU. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Millie enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, and sewing. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Vic and Susan Sanvidge, Ken and Kathy Sanvidge, Linda and Jeff Watts; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Mary Sanvidge; sisters, Nita Harris, Mae Hardy and Jenny Cagle-Moore; sisters-in-law, Betty Eppinger, Frances Eppinger, Helen Nancy Mathe, Lorraine Sanvidge and Helen Sanvidge; and many nieces and nephews. Millie was preceded in death by her son, Bert; granddaughter, Johnna; and great-granddaughter, Katianna. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Jackson. Dr. Joe Bufford, then Rev. Billy Lawrence and the Rev. Rindy Trouteand officiated, with interment in the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery at Molena, Ga.
