Mildred Parris Brewer Mildred Parris Brewer, of Rex, passed away at the age of 83, on Feb. 5, 2011. She was born and raised in the Mt . Pleasant Community, near Grant, Ala., and the Pleasant Grove Community, near Albertville, Ala. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Brewer, Sr., of Warner Robins, and her son, Keith J. Brewer, of Rex. She is survived by her son, Harold Aaron (Marsha) Brewer, Jr., of Jonesboro; Shelia Brewer, of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Meredith (Mike) Byrd, of Griffin, Rusty (Wendy) Brewer, of Franklin, Ga., Michael Brewer, of Jonesboro, and Matthew Brewer (fiancee Marlicia), of Jonesboro; great-grandchildren, Kailee Brewer, Korrie Brewer, Tyler Brewer, Maicee Byrd, Madison Byrd, and Mi’Leena Brewer; one brother, Dwight Parris, and two sisters, Melba Jean Childs and Judy Hunnicutt, and nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Grant Memorial Chapel in Grant, Ala., with interment at Panquin Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon, until 2 p.m., with the service following visitation in the chapel.
