Greater Works Baptist Church is celebrating its Fourth Year Church and Pastor/First Family's Anniversary, on Sunday, Feb. 20, at 3 p.m.The Rev. Nathaniel Lee, pastor of Zion Baptist Church, of Hampton, is the guest preacher for the occasion. Dinner will be served from 1:30 p.m., until 2:45 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend the celebration. The church is located at 3296 Walt Stephens Road, in Jonesboro.

Greater St. Peter Christian Academy (GSPCA) will host an open house on Sunday, Feb. 20, through Saturday, Feb. 26, from 9 a.m., until 4 p.m., daily. The school accepts children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years-old. GSPCA is located at 9540 Fayetteville Road (Highway 54) on the campus of Greater St. Peter AME Church. VIP Ministries of Forest Park Baptist Church will meet on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at 10:45 a.m., in the church's fellowship hall, for a special program of interest to senior citizens. Seniors are welcome to join for lunch and fellowship, which will include guest speakers, Diana Cowan and Laurie Hamilton of Aging Options. The Laymen Ministry of Christians for Change Baptist Church, located at 2110 Bethsaida Road in Riverdale, is pleased to announce the arrival of The Cub and Boy Scouts at CFC. The Clayton County Marriage and Family Initiative is starting a Marriage Hall of Fame that will be posted on the organization's web site. It is interested in the names, length of marriage, and contact information of local couples who have been married the longest, particularly couples who have been married more than 50 years. Shelter from the Storm, is a Christ-centered support group, based out of Rock Springs Baptist Church, for women who have experienced emotional, verbal, physical, or sexual abuse. Women can come together in a safe, anonymous environment to heal from the effects of abuse. The church also hosts, "Living Life Abundantly," an HIV/AIDS support group, which seeks to show people how to live life abundantly, despite their disease.
