* Distillery founders announce new location

This county is a joke. A distillery when the county is dry? No wonder they are leaving. The good ol boys are keeping this county in the 20th century. (By the way, for those who were born here, this is now the 21st century.)

* Trojans triumphant against Mount Zion in 7-6 overtime victory

Im Antonio Boynton..i love the article that was a big game. Look for me as i take my senior year at Banneker High #43 Antonio Boynton DE,FB,LB

* Piedmont touts experience with hospital affiliations

I personally think I partnership with Piedmont would be bad for HMC. I'd like to see Emory prevail as the final partner for Henry. They bring a much stronger background in research, education, funding, and use of the latest medical technology. Lots of folks from Henry choose Emory as is. It seems logical to bring them into the community and give the people of Henry County what they want. Emory has a stronger presence, a lasting future, and the ability to treat the most complex conditions. These are all attributes I'd like to see at HMC.

* Woman dies in early-morning collision

No matter who is at fault, there could have been absolutely NOTHING on the road at the time of the accident and God would have called her home. He knows the EXACT time that we will all die. And it was already in HIS plans to take her home at that EXACT minute on that EXACT day or she would still be walking on this earth today. We are NOT promised tomorrow so everyone needs to look at this incident and notice that. No matter what our age or our health. Its all in GOD'S HANDS! May God bless everyone that has been affected by this situation!!!!

* Man found guilty in Little Caesars murder

HE WAS MY BROTHER FOR LIFE ... HOPE HE RECIEVE LIFE!!! FOR THE HE TOOK. OVERCOME AJUST ADAPT. ILL PARY FOR YOU.

* Bennett, Annie Christine

I am so sorry for your loss. You have my deepest condolences. Rely on "the God of all comfort." The Bible says: "Throw your burden upon Jehovah himself, and he himself will sustain you."(Psalm 55:22) Prayer to God is not some sort of emotional crutch. It is real and vital communication with "the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation."--2 Corinthians 1:3, 4. God's Word, the Bible, provides the greatest comfort of all. The Christian apostle Paul stated: "I have hope toward God . . . that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." (Acts 24:15) Thinking about the Bible-based hope of a resurrection can be the greatest comfort while grieving the loss of a loved one.(John 5:28,29) Feel free to contact me. 113 Flamingo Dr. Aub,FL 33823 Sincerely, PJ

* Starr steps down from county policy position

* Adams, Doris T.

Have fond memories of the Adams Family in Ellenwood and attendance at East Clatyon. My sympathies are being sent to the family in your loss. Martha Estes Tanner

* Conference addresses transportation, development issues

I felt the SMDO conference was very informative! The key topic discussed was House Bill 277; Georgia Transportation Policy. Elected officials are currently in the process of preparing the bill for a referendum vote on a new 1% tax will take place in November 2012. The planning committee is discussing and planning transportation projects through March 2011. So it is very important to our community that we have a voice at the table, sooner rather than later! Perhaps a media person will create a twitter and facebook account to follow progress of this developing news story. I did not see this news story covered by the AJC. Also, Cherrly Stickland, Director of TAD, Atlanta Development Authority, provided an outstanding progress report on investments in our communities. Despite the down turn in the economy ADA has been able to consistently increase property values through a number of investment vehicles. Many small businesses should consider applying for loans through the ADA.

* Starr steps down from county policy position

Since Mr Starr has given up 1/2 of his job should taxpayers assume 1/2 of salary goes away? Fleet maintenance is not much of a job anyway. A good commission retreat topic: consolidate law enforcement. Currently too much overhead.

* Woman dies in early-morning collision

AMEN

* Odor of gas disrupts court session in Jackson

* Dutchtown chorus to perform at Savannah conference

Our GMEA 2011 performance experience has been the highlight of my teaching career. I will never forget this experience and hope that there will be many more to come. As the director of this awesome choir, I am proud that we are able to continue the tradition of excellence in choral music at DMS. I can only hope that our Henry County community will continue to support the arts in all of our schools. Please feel free to attend any of our performances which will be posted on our school's website.

* Morgan, Marvin C. "Papa"

I love and miss you paw paw love isaak

* Turner, Dany

Dear Turner Family and Friends, I am very sorry for your recent loss. Please know that the Bible explains: "Abraham . . . reckoned that God was able to raise [his son Isaac] up even from the dead." (Hebrews 11:17-19) Abraham's confidence was not misplaced, for the Bible says of the Almighty: "He is a God, not of the dead, but of the living, for they are all living to him."--Luke 20:37, 38. Yes, Almighty God has not only the power but also the desire to resurrect persons whom he chooses. Jesus Christ himself said: "Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out."--John 5:28, 29; Acts 24:15. Feel free to contact me anytime. Sincerely, Paula Paula 113 Flamingo Dr. Aub, Fl. 33823

* MLK parade heading back to Jonesboro

How is it legal a waive the fees for only a select group?? Mr. Maddox, how can you say the parade will not cost us anything? Will the CC Sheriff's office and the CC Police Dept. be "donating" their time to control traffic and clean up after the parade???

* Sholar, Ivy J.

Thank you Grace for sharing Ivy with us for the past 8 years. It was an honor to know him and to witness the heart he had for people. May God comfort you and the family during this hard time. Know that he is just on the other side of glory waiting for the Lord to call his family home. What a blessing it was the hear Rev. Walter talk about the time that Ivy called on Jesus to save him. Now we KNOW that we will see him again!!! God Bless You!

* Bedingfield, Ronald S.

Great article on a great young man!

* Man killed in Riverdale house fire

Who was the person who was killed in the fire on Foxbury Road?

* Conference addresses transportation, development issues

Mr Long the reason Ga. doesn't have a passanger rail system is because it can NOT support itself.Chairman BJ Mathis you are right we are in a anti tax environment. We are tired of goverment wasting our money. Mr. Bell clayton had a bus system that could NOT support itself.Marta has never been able to support itself. It's always in the red.If these things could be profitable private bussiness would run with it and not expect the tax payers to pay for it.

* Beaty, Barbara Waddell
