Class AAAAA
Luella (11-13) at Hillgrove (20-5), 6 p.m.
What to Know: The Luella Lady Lions hit the road against Hillgrove tonight in Powder Springs. Luella earned a spot in the state tournament with a 54-41 win against M.L. King to finish as the No. 3 seed from Region 2.
Prediction: Hillgrove
Class AAAA
Ware County (11-16) at Forest Park (22-5), 6 p.m.
What to Know: The Lady Panthers come into their first-round game ranked No. 6 in the Gasports.com Class AAAA Coaches' poll and riding a 15-game winning streak.
Prediction: Forest Park
Brunswick (12-17) at North Clayton (17-7), 6 p.m.
What to Know: North Clayton made it to the finals of the Region 4-AAAA tournament, losing a close game to Forest Park 56-49 in overtime. The second-place finish secured the Lady Eagles' home date with Brunswick.
Prediction: North Clayton
Mundy's Mill (20-6) at South Effingham (12-17), 6 p.m.
What to Know: Despite winning 20 games this season, Mundy's Mill finished as the third seed in the Region 4-AAAA tournament and now opens the state playoffs on the road. South Effingham has a losing record, but finished second at the Region 2-AAAA tournament to earn the right to play at home.
Prediction: Mundy's Mill
Lovejoy (12-15) at Statesboro (24-3)
What to Know: The Lovejoy Lady Wildcats face a challenge on the road tonight when they play at No. 8 Statesboro. Lovejoy finished fourth at the Region 4-AAAA Tournament. Statesboro won the Region 2-AAAA event.
Prediction: Statesboro
Woodland (19-8) at Warner Robins (21-6),
What to Know: The Woodland Lady Wolfpack are headed to the state tournament for the first time in school history when they hit the road tonight against Warner Robins. The Lady Wolfpack are closing in on a 20-win season. All but one senior should be back next year, so the future is bright for Woodland.
Prediction: Warner Robins
Class AAA
Westside-Macon (20-8) at Drew (13-9), 6:30 p.m.
What to Know: The Drew Lady Titans are making plenty of history this year as they get ready to head to the Class AAA tournament for the first time. Drew is now ranked No. 10 in the Gasports.com Class AAA Coaches' poll.
Prediction: Drew
Eagle's Landing (15-11) at Rutland (20-7), 7 p.m.
What to Know: The Lady Golden Eagles are trying to break a two-game losing streak, but at one stretch late in the season won four games in a row, including a 70-63 victory against rival Henry County in the Region 4-AAAA tournament to get into the state tournament.
Prediction: Rutland
Boys
Class AAA
Baldwin (14-7) at Drew (13-9), 8 p.m.
What to Know: The only local boys game to tip off Friday night, Drew is in the state tournament for the first time in schhool history. The Titans lost to Eagle's Landing in the finals of the Region 4-AAA tournament last week.
Prediction: Drew
