Playing as host in their first state tournament games in school history, Drew's boys and girls teams made it a theatrical night. After the Lady Titans lost 61-51 to Westside-Macon, the boys needed overtime to pull out a 64-61 victory over Baldwin in the first round of the Class AAA tournament Friday. Drew (14-9), the No. 2 seed from Region 4, advances to play the winner of Monroe and Westside-Augusta on Wednesday. Cory Graves led the Titans with 18 points, including a 3-pointer at the end of regulation that tied the game and sent it into overtime. Barry Mayes added 13 points. Precious Persons led the Drew girls in their loss with 13 points, while Dede Debose added eight points.More like this story
