The final weekly awards in the Peach Belt Conference for men's basketball were released on Tuesday, and the Clayton State Lakers garnered the last award.
Clayton State senior guard Brandon Robinson was selected as the 14th and final Peach Belt Player of the Week for the 2010-11 season. He becomes the second Laker to earn the conference weekly honor this season. Fellow senior guard Timmy Downs was selected on Feb. 1.
Robinson, a 6-foot-6, 180-pounder from Lake Wales, Fla., averaged 26 points and nine rebounds last week in Clayton State's final two games of the regular season. He recorded his third double-double of the season with a 29-point, 10-rebound performance at North Georgia last Wednesday.
That was followed by 22 points on 11-for-14 shooting from the free throw line against Georgia Southwestern on Saturday.
Robinson currently leads the Peach Belt in scoring at 20 points a game.
Clayton State (19-9, 10-7 PBC) travels to Georgia Southwestern on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for the Peach Belt Conference Tournament quarterfinals.
