Hundreds of Kemp Primary School students got a chance to learn what firefighters, hair dressers, and professional cheerleaders do for a living during the school's annual "Career Day" event.
The school, which houses pre-kindergarten, through second-grade classes, hosted approximately 19 people, who came to the school and spoke to the classes about their chosen professions, Friday.
The professionals included: Two Georgia State Patrol troopers; two Clayton County Police Department Animal Control officers; two U.S. Army soldiers; two U.S. Secret Service representatives; two airline customer service representatives; a DeKalb County firefighter/paramedic; a railroad police special agent; a railroad operator; a Clayton County paramedic; an Atlanta Falcons cheerleader; an information technology worker for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; a newspaper reporter; a hair dresser, and a medical technician.
