The public is invited to a memorial service for "Evidence," the Zebra who died at Noah's Ark Animal Rehabilitation Center and Children's Care Homes, located at 712 L.G. Griffin Road in Locust Grove.
The memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, at 1 p.m., outside of the Noah's Ark Welcome Center, according to Diane Smith, the assistant to Noah's Ark Founder and Director, Jama Hedgecoth.
Smith said the service will end with a Memorial Walk to the zebra's habitat. Guests may bring memorial tributes -- poems, posters, flowers, etc. -- to place at the end of the walk.
Participants are encouraged to RSVP via an e-mail at theroar@noahs-ark.org, and indicate any disabilities that will require transportation for the walk portion of the tribute, said Smith. Transportation accommodations may be limited. To learn more, call Noah's Ark at (770) 957-0888, or visit online at www.noahs-ark.org.
