Jones, Walter S. Age: 69
Passed Away: 2011-01-11 Funeral Home: Walter S. Jones, 69, of Stockbridge, passed away Jan. 11, 2011. He was a member of North Henry Baptist Church, and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and he worked for Northwest Airlines as an inspector of aircraft. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Jones; two daughters, Tracy Jones, Tami and husband, Dale Kennard; son, Allen Jones; sister, Inez Foreman; brother, James “Jimmy” and wife, Debra, Jones; sister-in-law, Maureen (MO) Jones; eight grandchildren, Joshua and Zachary Hedgecock, Ticey, Logan and Gavan Kennard, Brandon, Amanda and Timothy Jones; several nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 18, at the Fairview Chapel of Horis A. Ward. The Rev. Stan Jordan will officiate. Interment will be in the Fairview Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends on Monday, Jan. 17, from 2 p.m., to 4 p.m., and 6 p.m., to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Horis A.
