Judith H. Baird Judith H. Baird, 64, of Stockbridge, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2011, of complications arising from a sudden illness. Born the second of three daughters to Ervin and Mary Alice Hartenfeld, of Sandusky, Ohio, Judy came to Atlanta at the age of 18 to work as a radio operator for Delta Air Lines. A many-year resident of both Jonesboro and Stockbridge, she spent the majority of her life as a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Butterfield, of Smyrna; son, Jeffrey Davidson, of Nashville, Tenn.; stepdaughters, Andrea Allen, of Lawrenceville, and Ellen Rozar, of Locust Grove; stepson, Michael Baird, of Dallas, Texas; four devoted grandchildren, Christopher Sayad, of Smyrna, Harper Davidson, of Nashville, Elise Allen, of Atlanta, and Cal Rozar, of Locust Grove; mother, Mary Alice Hartenfeld, and sisters, Gail Downing and Pamela Suver, all of Ohio. She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Ervin J. Hartenfeld, and the love of her life, husband of 21 years, Clifford E. Baird. Those who knew and loved Judy know of her devotion to her "three F's": faith, family, and friends, all of which she had in abundance. She will be remembered for her boundless generosity, devotion to her church, love for her children and grandchildren, and constant strength in the face of adversity. A 14-year breast cancer survivor, she taught us to put faith in God and "fight the good fight." Judy served as a source of comfort and inspiration to those in need, and in every action, showed us how to live "a life not wasted." The family will receive friends, from 6 p.m., to 8 p.m., at Ford-Stewart Funeral Home in Jonesboro on Friday, Jan. 21. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 22, at 11 a.m., at Philadelphia Presbyterian Church in Forest Park. In lieu of flowers, Judy's wishes were that donations be made to: Susan G.
