Clayton State University, in partnership with the National Archives at Atlanta, will have a free "In Step with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the Civil Rights Movement" commemorative event, on Thursday, Jan. 20, from 6:30, to 8 p.m., at the National Archives at Atlanta, 5780 Jonesboro Road, Morrow. The event will be highlighted by an exhibit entitled, "Revisiting the Mississippi Civil Rights Movement Through an Activist's Lens." Clayton State University will have its third annual "MLK Rally and March," on Thursday, Jan. 20, from 4 to 6 p.m., in the ballroom of the Student Activities Center at Clayton State University, 2000 Clayton State Blvd., Morrow. The Clayton State men's and women's basketball teams are looking for youths, ages 13 and under, to participate in its annual "NCAA Basketball 'Take A Kid to the Game'" event, on Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Athletics and Fitness Center of Clayton State University, 2000 Clayton State, Blvd., Morrow. The women's game begins at 5:30 p.m., and the men's game starts at 7:30 p.m. Youths who attend will receive a free ticket and popcorn, with a purchase of a full-priced adult ticket of $5. Clayton County Parks and Recreation is currently accepting registrations for the "Men's Basketball Tournament," until Feb. 28, Mondays through Fridays, from 8 a.m., to 9 p.m., and Saturdays, from 9 a.m., to 6 p.m., at the Carl Rhodenizer Recreation Center, 3499 Rex Road, Rex.
