A McDonough man was indicted by a federal grand jury, for allegedly causing the shooting death of a U.S. Forest Service ranger.
The U.S. Attorney's Office charged Norman Clinton Hale, 41, with killing 37-year-old Christopher Arby Upton, the Associated Press (AP) announced Friday. Upton died last March, in the Oconee National Forest in Jasper County.
Hale is reportedly charged with involuntary manslaughter in the killing of a federal officer, and discharging a firearm during a crime of violence, the Associated Press stated.
