Three people were arrested following a fight at Mundy's Mill High School, surrounding a basketball game, Friday night.
"It was two females fighting," said Sgt. Otis Willis, III. "One was armed with a knife -- and in the process, three people were arrested," he said.
No one was injured in the fight, which broke out just before 9 p.m., at the Jonesboro school, according to Willis.
Late Friday night, the police spokesman said he did not have information about whether the fight erupted inside, or outside of the school, nor what prompted it.
"Three people were arrested -- two females and a male," Willis said. "They were transported to the Clayton County Jail."
At press time, the identities of those arrested were not available.
"They're in custody, and it's not common for fights to happen at the basketball game," added Willis. "It's still safe to come out [to games], and the Clayton County Police Department is not going to tolerate this behavior at sporting events.
"Citizens should continue to come out and have a good time, in a safe environment," he said.
