Henry County Police have reportedly located the man they believe to have robbed a local gas station using a machete Sunday.
Friday, police charged a Henry County Jail inmate, Ronald Gordy Driver, II, of McDonough with one count of armed robbery. "Driver ... entered into the Kangaroo store, 3148 E. Jodeco Road, McDonough ... armed with a machete, [and] demanded money from the cashier," said Henry County Police Sgt. Mike Ireland. "Driver leaped across the counter and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, before fleeing the scene." At the time the charge was issued, Driver, 23, was in the jail, charged with robbery and aggravated battery, in connection with a robbery that occurred Tuesday, said Ireland. An arrest warrant states Driver stole a car and a cell phone from a male victim, and cracked the victim's skull with a blunt instrument. Driver remained in jail Friday, on $20,000 bond. — Jason A.
