Mable Purser Williams died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 31, at Forsyth United Methodist Church with burial in Juliette United Methodist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Ken Stephens and the Rev. Stanley Harrell officiated. The family greeted friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 30, at Monroe County Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Williams, the daughter of the late Oland Hudson and Veola Moye Purser, was born Nov. 21, 1934, in Macon. She was a hairdresser. Her grandchildren, Brandy and Jamie Andrews, preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband, Harold Williams, Jr., of Forsyth; children, Pam Saunders (Jimmy) of Jackson, Janet Phillips (Lonnie) of Forsyth, and Cathy Dunn (Chip) of Forsyth; sisters, Melba Merlene Gardner (Frank) of Fayetteville, and Patricia Land (Willie) of Trussville, Ala.; brothers, Oland Purser (Florine) of Forsyth, Ronnie Purser (Brenda) of Juliette, and Charles Purser (Patricia) of Forsyth; grandchildren, Amy Holder, Steve Mercer, Lynne Andrews, Kim Jackson, Kim Phillips, Lonnie Phillips, Jr., Melissa Herndon, Caleb Dunn and Lindsey Dunn, and eight great-grandchildren, The family may be contacted at the residence of Chip and Cathy Dunn, 164 Conifer Drive, Forsyth, Ga.
