Mrs. Jean Alexander Pendley, 80, of Griffin, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Pendley was born in McDonough, on March 16, 1931 to the late Andrew Alexander and the late Sara Francis Selfridge Alexander. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Pendley. Mrs. Pendley was a homemaker and a member of the Oakland Baptist Church in McDonough. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Tricia Pendley, of Griffin; grandchildren, Claire and Jonathan Kimbell, of Griffin, Katy Pendley, of Griffin. A graveside funeral service will be conducted on Friday, July 8, at 11 a.m., in McDonough City Cemetery. Dr. Keith Wesley will officiate. Friends may visit the family on Thursday evening from 6 p.m., to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Friends and family are asked to assemble at the cemetery by 10:45 a.m. on Friday morning. Conner-Westbury Funeral Home, 1891 West McIntosh Road, Griffin, Ga., is in charge of the arrangements.
