Elizabeth Cooke Crowe, 83, of Stockbridge, died Sunday, July 10, 2011. Elizabeth was born in Hapeville, Ga., and attended West Fulton High School, followed by Draughns Business School, in Atlanta. She married the late Hugh Lee Crowe in 1948. She lived in the Atlanta area except for a brief time in Davenport, Iowa for Hughs schooling, and the Boston area when Hugh was in the Navy. The couple settled in College Park, then lived in Peachtree City, Riverdale, and Stockbridge, and had a vacation home on St. Simons Island. A homemaker, she also worked at her husbands chiropractic office off and on for most of their 58-year marriage, and worked briefly as a professional interior designer. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Hal S. Crowe, Sr. (Pihsiou), son and daughter-in-law Dr. and Mrs. Keith H. Crowe (Lorna); daughter Ms. Lee Crowe and a nephew Mr. Steve Benson; five grandchildren and a great-grandson. Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 16, at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Associate Pastor Thom Miller officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 1 p.m., to 2 p.m., the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mrs. Crowe to Christian City, Inc., (Foster Care Division) 7345 Red Oak Road, Union City, Ga. 30291.
