Age: 93
Funeral Home: Haisten Funeral Home of Jackson Edith Lummus, age 93, of Jackson, died Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Westbury Medical Care Home, where she had resided for a year. She was born in Newton County, May 9, 1918, daughter of the late Young and Mary Lizzie McFall Lummus. Miss Edith was a retired employee of the old Pepperton Cotton Mill and Fashion Pillows in Jackson. She was a member of the Jackson First Baptist Church. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Butch and Rozelle Kitchens Lummus; granddaughter, Tiffany Lummus; and great-granddaughter, Sev Boogie Jacobsen, all of Jackson. Funeral services for Edith Lummus were Friday, July 8 at 2 p.m., in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home in Jackson. Interment was in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Butts County.
