Elizabeth Cooke Crowe, 83, of Stockbridge, died Saturday, July 10, 2011. Elizabeth was born in Hapeville, Ga., and attended West Fulton High School, followed by Draughn’s Business School, in Atlanta. She married the late Hugh Lee Crowe in 1948. She lived in the Atlanta area, except for a brief time in Davenport, Iowa and the Boston area. Hugh was in school in Iowa and he was in the U.S. Navy when the couple lived in Boston. The couple settled in College Park, then lived in Peachtree City, Riverdale, and Stockbridge, and had a vacation home on St. Simon’s Island. Mrs. Crowe, a homemaker, also worked at her husband’s chiropractic office, off and on, for most of their 58-year marriage, and worked briefly as a professional interior designer. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Hal S. Crowe, Sr. (Pihsiou), son and daughter-in-law Dr. and Mrs. Keith H. Crowe (Lorna); daughter, Ms. Lee Crowe and a nephew, Mr. Steve Benson; five grandchildren and a great-grandson. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, July 16, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Associate Pastor Thom Miller officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, from 1 p.m., to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
