One woman was killed and four others injured when the car they were riding in late Friday night left the road and slammed into a tree, said Clayton County police.

Officer Phong Nguyen said the fatality was Charmayne McCier, 20. The driver and three passengers were taken to area hospitals for treatment of injuries suffered in the one-car crash. Nguyen said they were in critical condition. The sixth passenger literally walked away from the crash uninjured, he said.

"We are looking for the sixth person. We believe we have outstanding warrants for him," Nguyen said.

Nguyen said the 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass was traveling south toward Old Dixie Highway about 10 p.m. Friday. Near Gilbert and Conley roads, the car left the road and slammed into a tree, he said.

Speed was a factor and the driver faces charges pending the outcome of the investigation, said Nguyen.
