With just four races left in the 2011 Thursday Thunder racing series at Atlanta Motor Speedway, Bandolero Outlaws competitor Parker Barnes is running away from the rest of his competition.
That's what happens when you are undefeated, winning all six races this season. Barnes has a 49-point lead over second-place John Curtiss, who has five top 5 finishes.
Buzzing his way to victory: In the first ever Buzz car championship, Michaek Karp has a 36-point lead over Buddy Brewer. Karp has won half of the events, taking three checkered flags. He also has finished in the top five each time he has raced.
Karp has 582 points.
Brewer is yet to collect a victory, but has four top fives to secure his current second-place point standing.
Scott Kasparek, Dave Sherman and Gary Zajdek each have one victory in the series' newest division this summer.
The Boss Man leads: Atlanta Motor Speedway president Ed Clark finds himself in the lead of the Masters Division. Clark, who has won twice this summer is seven points in front of Terry Mathis, and 12 points ahead of Skip Nichols, who is Thursday Thunder's all-time winningest driver.
Both Clark and Nichols also race against each other in the Roadsters Division.
Here is the running order for the seventh week at Thursday Thunder:
