Mrs. Lois Cardell Mitchell, 87, of McDonough, Ga., passed away July 17, 2011. Mrs. Mitchell was born in Henry County, the daughter of the late John Mathew and Trudie Allen Cardell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Davis Mitchell. Mrs. Mitchell enjoyed spending time with family and friends, living her simple life and always sharing with others. She is survived by a sister, Doris Harper, of Covington; brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Marian Cardell, of Cumming; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Mrs. Mitchell will be Thursday, July 21, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alvie Rodgers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park.
