North Clayton student Mariah Stackhouse has advanced to the match-play portion of the U.S. Girls Junior Championship at Olympia Fields in Illinois.
Stackhouse finished the first two rounds at 2 over par. Shooting a pair of 1 over par the first two days to earn a three-way tie for fifth. The resident of Riverdale had birdies on No. 9. 10 and 15 during the first round, and one birdie at No. 1 on Tuesday during the second round. Stackhouse played a bogey free round on Tuesday. Ariya Jutanuagarn was the two-round leader with a 4-under par score. Her 2-over par score puts Stackhouse in a tie with Nichole Morales and Emma Talley. —Doug GormanMore like this story
