Deputy Richard Joseph Daly, 55, of Zebulon, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 20, 2011. He was the son of the late Joseph Daly and Joyce Ormond Daly. He was preceded in death by his sister, Renee “Sissy” Radics. Those left behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Cheryl Ann Daly; children, Toby Daly and his wife, Janaya, and Amber Wright, and her husband, Joshua; grandchildren, Colton Daly, Madalyn Wright, Marisa Wright, Matthew Wright; mother, Joyce Ormond Daly; Brothers, Rusty Daly, Steve Daly; sisters, Suzanne Adams and Judy Dempsey; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends TODAY (Wednesday, July 27), from 9 a.m., until 9 p.m., at Tara Garden Chapel, 681 North Ave., Jonesboro, (770) 471-7171. Services honoring Deputy Daly will be held on Thursday, July 28, at 2 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro, in Jonesboro. Interment will follow the service at Moody’s Memorial Park, at 10170 Hwy. 19 N., in Zebulon, Ga. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions be made to the Georgia Sheriff’s Association Youth Homes, 3000 Highway 42 North, P.O. Box 1000, Stockbridge, Ga. 30281.
