A College Park man is being held without bond on charges he pistol-whipped two women and assaulted a man during a July 4 incident.
Eric Stillwell, 32, made his first appearance in Clayton County Magistrate Court Tuesday to hear his charges and bond information. Magistrate Richard Brown denied him bond on the serious felonies, aggravated assault, kidnapping and terroristic threats.
Stillwell is also charged with battery, pointing a pistol at another and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, said Brown. He is being held in the Clayton County Jail.
Criminal arrest warrants allege Stillwell forced his way into a home on Fernwood Drive in Riverdale July 4. He then allegedly pointed his weapon at a man inside the home and ordered him to the garage, threatening to shoot everyone in the house.
The two men wrestled over the gun, the warrants state, with Stillwell losing and then re-gaining possession of it. Once he again had the gun, according to the warrants, he pistol-whipped two women inside the house.
Stillwell then went to his vehicle and got a second pistol, the warrants allege, and again threatened to kill everyone in the house. The two women jumped Stillwell, causing him to drop his pistols, according to the warrants. He then left the residence, police said. He was arrested Monday on the outstanding warrants.
