Sadie is an 11 year old Beagle. She has been spayed and fully vaccinated. Sadie originally came into CCHS (along with her best dog friend, Mindy) after her former owner passed away and the only person left to care for the two dogs was disabled and unable to do. Due to their age, everyone at CCHS feared that these dogs would spend the rest of their lives in the shelter. But, fate smiled on them and a family came along, and both dogs went to live at a new home, complete with a 9 year old little girl to love them. Their good fortune would not last for long. A divorce, then a custody battle, and when the dust finally settled, the dogs came back to the CCHS shelter. Once again, these poor senior dogs had no real home. Fortunately, Mindy was adopted again; but this left poor Sadie alone at the shelter. Too old and frail to be trusted with the younger, stronger dogs currently living at CCHS, Sadie lives alone in her cage. Sadie is a kind, gentle soul, and she obviously loves and craves human attention. To spend her final years alone, in a shelter, is just simply a heartbreaking possibility. If anyone wants a sweet, loving friend; an animal who deserves to live her final years surrounded by love and attention, please give us a call at 770-471-9436. CCHS would love to work with anyone who wishes to truly make a difference in the life of an animal. Sadie is a wonderful dog, and she would be a wonderful addition to some lucky home.
