* Daly remembered as family man, 'good officer'

Rest in Peace Brother. You've done your job well, now rejoice in peace. We'll take it from here.

* Clayton County alternative school going virtual

We are paying additional property taxes so the school bosrd can give discipline and behavior problem students, who cannot perform in a classroom with a teacher present, computers to set at home and surf the net? Has Heatley and the entire school board lost their mind. What happened to no child left behind?

* Accused killer committed to the state at 13

it is a shame that a child starting at the agew of ten was never given the help needed to be a productive person in our comunity. i feel that we as a comunity have forgotten that we are responable for raising our childern if the parents can't or won't do the job properly then we take the child and place them in a proper home so they may be raised to understand that we have a responsability to be productive in our comunity. i hope that he gets the mental

* Number of Georgia schools making AYP down this year

Boy can these people come up with the best excuse for not doing their job???

* Sagging pants now illegal attire in Hampton

Just because something is stupid, doesn't mean we need to pass a law to prohibit it. How about instead of wasting time with enforcement we be role models to these young men and teach them better about being men in this society.

* Clayton residents protest proposed tax increase

Raising the property tax will only drive more businesses and homeowners out of this county. This will then make future budgets even harder to fund. Cut the fat from the budget. Leave the rate as it currently is or lower it which will make Clayton County a more attractive place for businesses and future homeowners to locate. More businesses and homeowners moving in will then add to the tax base and would be a win-win for everyone. Raise fines for those who break the laws and ordinances of the county, which would add to the quality of the county and add to the tax base. As a homeowner and a businessman, I have had to cut and make sacrifices in this economy. I can't ask my customers to pay more for services every time I'm in a budget shortfall, and neither should or county leaders.

Ok. I am not a person who would wear my pants like this, but come on. If skin or body parts are exposed, who cares how a person wears their clothes. Just because someone thinks that wearing a hat backwards is inappropriate, is this going to become disorderly conduct. This law is unconstitutional. Where are our freedoms going? As I said before, I do not dress like this, BUT, if I wanted to, as long as I am not showing a part of my body that is indecent, WHO CARES?!?!?

Good job HAMPTON.

* Former Morrow official fights charges

Martha are you serious!? You are willing to vote for this guy even after all the evidence has been brought forth? I agree that Lampl didn't act entirely on his own, but the problem here is that Lampl ran the city how he thought it should be ran and look where it has gotten us. If he is elected mayor the city will not be any better, it could only get worse. Please people open your eyes and think about the decisions you make come election time....this could make or break the city.

* Service set for Clayton County deputy

This hanous act should have extensive consiquencies for the cowardly act made upon a peace officer. We need to fill the courthouse, lobby and parking lot to show our support of the people that protect the good people. Ricky was a kind and gentle man and did not deserve this action. Public exicution should be brouht forward to show these thugs that you must be punished for your actions. An "eye for an eye", a tooth for a tooth". Stop this unneccessary crime for good. It is time to fight back.

Congradulations to Hampton for this ordinance, it is A sorry day in America when we have to enforce a decency attire law. Just proves my thought that trash is the new class of America.

* Sagging pants now illegal attire in Hampton

I think that the city of Hampton has far more problems on hand then sagging pants. While I do think that it is stupid to wear your pants that low, we should be spending our money on things to make this city better.

* Service set for Clayton County deputy

We are all at loss . TO CARE FOR HIM WHO SHALL HAVE BORNE THE BATTLE AND FOR HIS WIDOW AND HIS ORPHAN A. Lincoln

Kudos to the outstanding delicacies at the French Market. The best of the best in Henry County. Chef Jeff, Lauren Weaver and the whole crew provide the exact taste of New Orleans and great service we know and expect. Always a treat. Laisser les bons temps rouler.

It is about time some town made laws against people exposing their nasty underware out in public, I hope other cities will follow this Great example an pass laws to their cities laws here in Clayton County and then maybe Clayton can regrow again as in bussiness coming here and staying. Instead of Clayton being the Getto from the City of Atlanta's rejects thrugs and gangs.

* More administrative changes for Clayton Schools

That is why they are from out of the county

Way to go Mayor Corley.

* Former Morrow official fights charges

I agree with Martha.. Lampl did not do this alone...and it is for sure that had Olde Town Morrow been a success, we would all be hearing a different song now.

* Sagging pants now illegal attire in Hampton

I LIKE THIS LAW, AND WISH EVERY COUNTY IN THE STATE WOULD PASS IT! IT'S TACKY TO SEE PEOPLE WEARING THEIR PANTS SHOWING THEIR UNDERWARE AND IT USED TO BE INDECENT EXPOSURE, MAKING IT AGAINST THE LAW, THANK YOU FOR THIS RULING.

It should be a statewide law. If it's not enforced, they'll just continue sagging. After all, one of the main reasons for exposing themselves this way is to show disdain for authority. In order to actually stop such behavior, in addition to the fines, the perpetrator should have to continue sagging and wear bright red clown shoes, the red clown nose and a red baseball cap that has an extra-long bill all while standing on the corner of a high-traffic street for 4-5 hours.

* Former Morrow official fights charges

"Martha", Lampl is and was the problem. He is the "good ole boy". So all of the allegations are made up? I think not, to use your words. There are so many criminal elements with that man that to type them all would be futile. Wake up !

* Teen shows no emotion during deputy-shooting hearing

This just sickens me and I hope that justice will be served in the end. No emotion for the cold blooded killing a a very fine Deputy. My heart goes out to the Daly family and his fellow officers

* Sagging pants now illegal attire in Hampton

It's about time & Amen.

* Teen shows no emotion during deputy-shooting hearing

The make and model of the weapon described in this story is the same make and model as Commissioner Wole Ralph lost a month or so ago from his car. I hope there is no connection.

* Service set for Clayton County deputy

God Bless you Officer Daly! Much love and prayers go out to your family...

* Sagging pants now illegal attire in Hampton

It's about time.

* Teen shows no emotion during deputy-shooting hearing

Ignorance has blessed us with the misfortune of sharing this world with mindful idiots who would rather take the life of someone doing their job then to take responsibilty for their own actions. Completely senseless.

* Rumors don't help school system

I sure do hope you don't break your arm patting yourself on the back. You should look a little deeper.

* Sagging pants now illegal attire in Hampton

Good for Hampton needs to be state wide.

* Two Clayton schools get 'state-directed' status

I am so digusted with the schools right now and may be willing to let my house go here in Clayton so my ninth grader can geta half decent education. This county is a joke run by jokers.

* Teen shows no emotion during deputy-shooting hearing

Another so called gangster punk kid about to learn a real lesson about life. My prayers to the deputy's family. To Bun's friends: nothing-they aren't worth the air...

* Former Morrow official fights charges

* Sam's Club to bring 'Knucksie' to McDonough

How exciting I know my boyfriend will be thrilled :)

* Sagging pants now illegal attire in Hampton

This makes me extremely happy. Swag or not the look is disrespectful and if these young men knew the history of sagging pants, they would pull them up a.s.ap.
