Clayton County police arrested a local man for allegedly setting a fire at his apartment that caused about $7,000 in damage.
Police charged Harlan James Porter, 31, with arson in connection with the early Friday morning fire at Windsor Landing Apartments.
Clayton Fire and Emergency Services personnel responded to the fire about 3 a.m. Porter was out on bond from an April 22 arrest on a public indecency charge.
That charge is pending in Clayton State Court. He is being held in the Clayton County Jail on $50,000 bond, on the arson charge.
