Thomason, Albert Bradley

Albert Bradley Thomason, age 74, of Jackson, became one of God’s angels in the early morning hours of Friday, June 10, 2011. He was born on Oct. 23, 1936 to the late Albert B. and Fannie Grace Poole Thomason. He was a United States veteran and served in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Thomason will be missed greatly. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Sue Brewer Thomason; children, Al and Kathy Thomason, Mitchell and Miriam Thomason, Lynn and Craig Griffis and “Lil” Mitch Thomason; grandchildren, Mandy and Jason Pines, Cami and Eli Mills, Ashley Sumner, Brad and Amy Thomason, Caleb Thomason, Kyle Head, Kyran Griffis, Lizzie Griffis, Katrina and Brandon Bender, James and Lori Askew, Samantha and Charlie Moss; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Blackburn; and brother and sister-in-law, James and Syble Thomason. A memorial service was held at Cedar Rock Church in Jackson on Saturday, June 11 at 1 p.m. Services were Sunday, June 12 at 2 p.m., at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, 245 Hwy 441 South, Demorest, Ga. Interment followed in the Yonah Memorial Gardens in Demorest, with full military honors provided by the Georgia National Guard, Rabun County DAV Chapter No. 15, Habersham County American Legion Post No. 84 and the Grant Reeves VFW Post No. 7720. The family received friends from 1 p.m., until the funeral hour on Sunday, June 12 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Ga.
