Clayton County police have notified the next of kin of a man hit by multiple cars on June 7, while trying to cross Tara Boulevard in Jonesboro.
Officer Phong Nguyen said, Tuesday, the man was identified as Barry McDaniel, 54.
McDaniel was trying to cross Tara from Flint River Road, in Jonesboro about 5:22 a.m., when he was hit by multiple cars.
An officer on his way to work discovered McDaniel's body in the roadway, and called for help.
It was not known why McDaniel was crossing the road. Officer Eddie Soto said no charges will be filed, as the accident was considered to be unavoidable.
