Spunky is a 1-2 year old gray and white domestic shorthair. All vet care for Spunky will be completed prior to adoption. This poor angel was left behind, by her former owner, in a trailer park. When the owner decided to commit the offense of criminal abandonment of an animal, Spunky and two other cats were simply tossed outside, and left to fend for themselves (one of the "throwaway cats" was 15 years old and declawed!). Several kind ladies in the trailer park decided to feed Spunky and her two friends, but when other residents decided to mistreat the cats, and even tried to run them over with cars, it was decided that the cats needed to be removed from danger immediately. Spunky is a wonderful kitty, with an extremely gentle, sweet personality. She is very quiet and well-behaved. Spunky has a condition affecting her back legs, and it is not known if this is from an old injury that healed terribly wrong, or if it is something that she was born with. Both of her back legs appear to be in an almost backward position from what would be normal....her back feet are turned somewhat sideways and backwards from her body. This does cause her to walk a little oddly, but it does not seem to hamper or impede her in any way. She stands, walks, and uses a litter box just as any other cat would do. Due to crowded conditions at the CCHS shelter, Spunky is currently in foster care.
