Just two weeks into Thursday Thunder, the 10-week racing series at Atlanta Motor Speedway, three divisions have a tie at the top of the points' chase.
In the Buzz Car Division, the newest category, week one winner Michael Kaarp and David Shermann share the lead with 197 points.
In the Masters Division, Skip Nichols and Atlanta Motor Speedway president Ed Clark are tied with 191 points each.
Nichols the all-time winningest driver at Thursday Thunder won the first week, and Clark the second.
A year ago, the Semi-Pro Division was decided by just three points when William Plemons III edged Luke Behnke. After two races, the pair have a victory each and are tied with 197 points.
Two for two: It's been a fast start for Parker Barnes (Outlaws) Josha Hicks (Bandits) and Skip Nichols (Masters) The three drivers have taken checkered flags in their first two races to lead their divisions' point races.
Opening up a big lead: Pro Division driver Sean Rayhall (194) has a 12 point lead in the Pro Division lead over second place's Taylor Hull (182). It's one of the largest leads of any of the divisions. Rayhall has one victory and one top five finish.
Running order: The running order for tonight's Thursday Thunder is as follows: Outlaws, Pro, Masters, Papa John's Bandits Buzz Cart, INTERMISSION: Semi-Pro Young Lions. Roadsters
