Authorities released the identity of a body that was found outside a Family Dollar store in Clayton County, on Friday.
Travis Dawson, 47, was found by police officers, on March 10, at approximately 7 a.m., at the north side of the Family Dollar building, located at 5425 Riverdale Road, in unincorporated Clayton County, according to Officer John Schneller, a public information officer for the police department.
The dollar store has a College Park address, he said.
Schneller said that it has been determined that Dawson died of a gunshot wound.
The department is in search of information specific to Dawson's residence, employment, and friends, and the vehicles he drove or owned, said police.
