Mr. Keith C. Montgomery, 63, of McDonough, passed away March 17, 2011. He was born in Lima, Ohio, to Nellie Lietz Montgomery and the late Warren Clay Montgomery. Keith served his country in the United States Air Force, from 1966 to 1970, and the United States Army, from 1979 to 1983. He served in the Vietnam War, and is a member of the VFW. He retired after 20 years with the Clayton County Sheriffs Department. Keith was a member of Teamon Baptist Church, where he was a member of the choir. He also was an avid golfer. Survivors include his loving wife, Sandra Montgomery, of McDonough; sons, Troy Montgomery, of Toledo, Ohio, and Tony Montgomery, of Wapakoneta, Ohio; granddaughter, December Sky Montgomery; mother, Nellie Montgomery, of Wapakoneta, Ohio; sisters, Janet Montgomery Barber, of St. Marys Ohio, and Sandra Montgomery Blair, of Florida; brother, Kenneth Montgomery, of Missouri; four stepchildren and 10 step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 20, at 2 p.m., from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. The Rev. William Stokes will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park. Friends may visit the family Saturday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Contributions are asked to be made to Sacred Journey Hospice, or Caring Bridge, in memory of Keith.
