Clayton County Police are searching for two male suspects who robbed a local Arby's restaurant early Tuesday morning, said Officer John Schneller, public information officer for the police department.
Schneller said the police department received a call at around 12:06 a.m., and arrived at the restaurant, at 2154 Mt. Zion Parkway, within one minute. The restaurant is located in unincorporated Clayton County, but it has a Jonesboro address, he said.
"We've got descriptions of the suspects," the police spokesman added.
Both suspects are black males, who were wearing ski masks and dark-colored clothing, said Schneller. The first suspect has a dark complexion, is around 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and weighs about 200 pounds. The second suspect has a medium complexion, is around 6 feet tall and weighs about 185 pounds.
Schneller said the restaurant was robbed during non-operating hours, with two employees inside. The suspects, who were armed with handguns, made entry by throwing a rock through a window in front of the building, he said.
"Cash was taken, [which] amounted to $700," he said. "It was the [restaurant's] money."
