Three sisters are planning parties for local girls.

Kimberley Benefield, 32, of Jackson; Destiny Keck, 30; and Ashleigh Singley, 29 -- both of Locust Grove -- are the owners of the Twisted Sister Party Parlor.

"We had a vision growing up as little girls of the perfect party," said Benefield. "We took that idea and ran with it."

Most of the parties have been held at Twisted Sister, a 1,600 square foot facility, located at 6965 Highway 42, suite 123, in Locust Grove.

"We specialize in hosting little girls' parties," she said. "We do everything, all the customer needs to do is show up with their guests. Our motto is 'Parties that Pamper.' "

The party-planning and event facility held its grand opening on Jan. 1. There are six party themes offered by Twisted Sister Party Parlor. They have such names as "Cupcake Creation," "Royal Tea Party," "Princess, Fairy," "Spa-tacular," and "Glamour Diva."

The party packages start at $300, and they are only for girls, ranging in ages 2, to 16.

The most popular package has been the Spa-tacular, according to Benefield. "We make all of the facials from fresh ingredients," she said.

"Little girls like to be pampered," said Benefield. "The girls have become familiar with pampering from their moms' visits to the spa," she added.

The Spa-tacular package includes chocolate facials, to bring out the toxins in the skin, and make the skin refreshing. An eye-cucumber treatment, mini manicures with nail designs and mini pedicures, which include a foot massage, are a part of the package as well, Benefield continued.

After the spa treatments, attendees salute the guest of honor with a lemonade toast. They share chocolate-covered strawberries, while reading their favorite teen magazines, explained Benefield.

"We finish with a craft of their choice," she said. "They get to make their own personal sea-salt scrub, bubble bath or body lotion."

Twisted Sister Party Parlor also offers its customers the option of having their party at their home.

"We bring the party to them," continued Benefield. "We set up linens and draperies, we provide all utensils, and we clean up.

"Parents love it because they do not have to worry about cleaning up afterwards, or worry about decorating," she added. "It's hassle free."

Benefield said the largest party held at the Party Parlor, was a Spa-tacular theme event with 15 guests.

"One of the best things about this company, is I get to not only work, but play with my sisters," she admitted.

Benefield has enjoyed the initial reactions from patrons when they arrive for the party.

"To see the responses from the little girls when they walk in the room and see everything. Their faces light up, and they are just in awe," Benefield said.

The sisters have one brother, Mikey Singley, 18. He helped in selecting the party themes.

Fellow sister, Destiny Keck, believes other party facilities are limited in food selections, and the activities available during the party.

"I think the most unique thing about our company is that we have a facility for the parties to be held, unlike other companies that only come to your home," said Keck.

Twisted Sister Party Parlor has held eight parties since opening in January, and three parties are scheduled for the coming weekend.
