Welcome home celebration planned for CSU women's basketball team on Saturday
From Staff Reports Clayton State University and the City of Morrow are joining together to welcome home the Clayton State women's basketball team at the conclusion of the NCAA Division II National Championships in St. Joseph, Mo. Following the Friday, Mar. 25 final against Michigan Tech, the Lakers will arrive at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport via Airtran on Saturday, Mar. 26 at 2:57 p.m. A bus will pick the team up at the airport and the Morrow Police Department will have several squad cars there to give the team a blue light escort to the campus. They're expected to arrive at Clayton State at approximately 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Any and all Laker fans, students, faculty, staff, alumni and anyone else who would like to welcome the champions home should meet in front of the Athletics & Fitness Center 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.More like this story
