A Mattie's Call was canceled Tuesday after a missing Jonesboro man was discovered walking alongside a roadway.
26-year-old Brandon Alfred James was located on Tuesday, said a public information officer for the department.
"He was found walking on Upper Riverdale Road, in Jonesboro," around noon, said Sgt. Otis Willis. He was in good condition, he added.
The police department released a Mattie's Call for James on Monday, because he did not return home that day, said Willis.
James, a special needs citizen with delayed development issues, "wandered away from his residence on Spring Haven Court," said Willis.
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's web site, www.gbi.georgia.gov, a Mattie's Call is an emergency missing alert for disabled or elderly people.
