The Clayton County Board of Health will extend its tetanus, diptheria and acellular pertussis (TDAP) vaccination drive, until Friday, May 6, from 8 a.m., to 4 p.m. The Board of Health will offer the TDAP vaccine at $10 per dose to underinsured and uninsured people. The Clayton County Water Authority's Newman Wetlands Center will host various events throughout the month of May, at 2755 Freeman Road, Hampton. There will be a "River of Words Student Art & Poetry Competition" exhibit until Friday, May 6, from 9 a.m., to 5 p.m. The exhibit will showcase artwork and poetry of the 2010 Georgia winning entries from students in kindergarten, through 12th-grade. The "Amphibian Monitoring Workshop" will occur on May 26, from 6:30, to 9 p.m. Participants will learn about volunteer frog and salamander monitoring. People, ages 10 and up. can participate. The Clayton County Humane Society will be have a yard sale on Saturday, May 7, beginning at 8 a.m. It will be held in the parking lot of the Jonesboro High School Vocational Building. The Clayton County Library System, in partnership with The Decorum Group, Inc., will have a "Poised Youth Program Children's Etiquette Training," on Saturday, May 7, from 11 a.m., to 2 p.m., at the Clayton County Morrow Branch Library, 6225 Maddox Road, Morrow. Clayton County Water Authority's Shoal Creek Reservoir will be open on Saturday, May 7, May 21, June 4, and June 18, from 7 a.m., to 3 p.m. Shoal Creek Reservoir is located off of Hampton Road and Ellison Road, in Jonesboro. The reservoir is only open for Clayton County residents with season passes, and is only open for boat fishing. Call (770) 603-5605.

Tuesday

The Forest Park Branch of the Clayton County Library System will hold auditions for a "Glee Club," on Tuesday, May 10, from 5:30, to 7:30 p.m., at 696 Main St., Forest Park. Youths 12 and up, are eligible to audition. The club is in search of people who can sing, dance, play an instrument or contribute other talents. The Clayton County Water Authority will host an "Atlanta Audubon Society Bird Watching Field Trip," on May 15, from 8, to 11 a.m., at Newman Wetlands Center, 2755 Freeman Road, Hampton. The Clayton County Chamber of Commerce will have its "Sixth Annual Women in Business Luncheon," on May 19, at 11:30 a.m., at the Georgia International Convention Center, 2000 Convention Center Concourse, College Park. Spivey Hall at Clayton State University is taking registrations for its annual "Summer Music Camp," until May 20. The camp targets students who will be in the fourth-, to seventh-grade levels for the 2011-2012 school year. Previous choral experience is not required. The Clayton County Water Authority's fishing reservoirs will be open for the fishing season. The Shamrock/Blalock Reservoir, located at 2610 Shamrock Road, Jonesboro, is open Wednesdays, through Sundays, until Oct. 30, from 7 a.m., to 8 p.m. The J.W. Smith Reservoir, located at 143 Northbridge Road, Hampton, will be open Saturdays, through Wednesdays, until Oct. 31, during the same operation hours.
