Aberham “Sam” Campbell Aberham “Sam” Campbell, 85, of Jonesboro, died May 6, 2011. Sam loved his family and friends, and enjoyed nothing more than raking leaves in the fall. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeannett Campbell; six sons, Stanley and Brenda, of Pascagoula, Miss., Ron, of Manchester, Tenn., Bradley and Barbara, of Gay, Ga., Bobby, of Denver, N.C.; Clay, of Jonesboro, and Robbie, of Jonesboro; two daughters, Janet and Jerry Lee, of Chipley, Fla., and Frida Stroup, of Hampton; 23 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Monday, May 9, at 2 p.m., at the Mowell Funeral Chapel. Burial followed at Camp Memorial Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ga. Visitation was held Sunday, May 8, from 2 to 5 p.m., at Carl J. Mowell Funeral Home in Fayetteville.www.mowellfuneralhome.com.
