One woman is dead, and a man was injured, during a one-car crash Friday, in Locust Grove.
The wreck occurred just after 1 p.m., on Interstate 75 south, said Henry County Police Maj. Jason Bolton. Both occupants were ejected.
"The vehicle, a 2010 Dodge Avenger, was traveling south on I-75, when it exited at ... Bill Gardner Parkway ... and struck a tree," Bolton said.
The female died at the scene. The male occupant was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment, Bolton said.
"Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt, and the preliminary investigation indicates that speed was likely a factor," said the major.
