Mrs. Caroline Platt, 89, of Griffin, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011. She was born in Raritan, N. J., to the late Paul and Caroline Berger Schultz. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Albert Platt, Jr. Caroline was a member of the Locust Grove United Methodist Church, and enjoyed sewing and quilting. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Charlie (Gail) Platt, of Culloden; grandchildren, Marsha (Brian) Hanson, of Locust Grove, Eric (Dana) Platt, of Barnesville; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Emily Hanson, Jacob Platt, Michael, Keli and Travis Conklin. Memorial services will be conducted Friday, May 13, at 2 p.m., from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service. Contributions are asked to be made to the Locust Grove United Methodist Church, in memory of Caroline.
