The Clayton County Parks and Recreation Department has revealed the seven-film line-up for its 2011 "Movies in the Park" series.

The department announced Thursday that it will open the series on Saturday with an airing of the film, "Marmaduke," at 8:30 p.m., at the Carl Rhodenizer Recreation Center, located at 3499 Rex Road, in Rex. The event is free to attend, according to the announcement.

One movie is scheduled to be shown each month, until November. Each film will be shown at a different county-run recreation facility. Other films scheduled to be shown in the series include "Avatar," "How to Train Your Dragon," "The Karate Kid," "The Last Airbender," "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," and "Megamind."
