A Clayton County grand jury indicted a Jonesboro High School student this week in an alleged sexual assault -- on a teenage girl -- that was recorded on security cameras.

Brandon Ray Thompson, 17, of Jonesboro, was indicted this week on felony charges of false imprisonment, aggravated sexual battery and child molestation.

Police allege that Thompson, and a 15-year-old boy, sexually assaulted an underage female student March 3 in the stairwell at Jonesboro High School.

The alleged incident was captured on the school's surveillance cameras.

The younger boy was charged in Juvenile Court.

On April 19, Thompson was charged with misdemeanor statutory rape, after police said he impregnated a 14-year-old girl.

The girl told police she had an abortion March 15. She named Thompson as the father. That case has been bound over to Clayton County State Court for prosecution.

Thompson remained in the Clayton County Jail late Thursday, on $50,000 bond.
