Funeral Home: Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home Melvin Hale Melvin Hale, of Hampton, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the age of 80. He was retired from Southern States. His wife Meada Hale, parents Ollie and Newt Hale, and also a brother preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Roy and Nancy Gardner and one grandson, Buddy Gardner; sisters and brother, and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held TODAY, on Tuesday, May 17, at 1 p.m., in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Reverend Lynn McLain officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park. The family received friends on Monday, May 16, from 6 p.m., to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Carl J.
