Mr. Joseph Perry Pruett, 72, of McDonough, passed away May 15, 2011.Joe was born in Blue Field, Va., the son of the late Raymond William and Lola Leola Fortson Pruett. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jacquelynn Marie Faulkner; a sister, Valley “Pee Wee” Pruett; brothers, Raymond Pruett, William (Bill) Pruett and Bud Pruett; sister-in-law, Thelma Pruett. Joe served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard, from 1956, to 1960. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, his dog “Nikki,” fishing, CB radio, puzzles and working on cars. Survivors are his wife, Annette Austin Pruett, of McDonough; children, Thomas Wayne Faulkner, of Milner, Ga., Ronald Lewis Faulkner (Angie), of McDonough, and Lori Muzik (Larry), of Concord; grandchildren, Brandy Marie Faulkner, Robert Austin Faulkner, Daniel Muzik, and Casey Muzik; brother, Marvin Jerry Pruett, of Royston, Ga.; sister-in-law, Audrey Pruett, of Deer Park, Texas; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 18, at 3 p.m., at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park, in McDonough, with the Rev. Paul Hood officiating.
