The treasurer of the Lovejoy High School Cheerleading Booster Club allegedly stole nearly $4,000 for her personal use, according to Clayton County police.
Lynette Frieson Lacy, 40, of Fayetteville, was arrested Tuesday on three counts of theft by conversion, and forgery in the first degree. She bonded out Thursday morning.
Police said Lacy admitted she produced forged documents, which were invoices made by another person at another time, and presented them to the Lovejoy High School Cheerleading Boosters Club to get money.
Lacy allegedly cashed checks to herself in the amounts of $1,021.92 on June 26; $1,395, on Oct. 4; and $1,501.42, on July 27.
